PTT Torque Thru Shear-Out Safety Joint
Description
The PTT Torque Thru Shear-Out Safety Joint allows positive release of the tubing string in completions where retrieval problems are anticipated. The Shear-Out Safety Joint is used between packers in multiple packer completions. It is also used when rotational releasing is not desired. These Safety Joints are easily field adjustable to compensate for hydraulic conditions that exist when the string is landed or that are created by well-treating operations. PTT Torque Thru Shear-Out Safety Joints are available in tubing sizes; 60.3 mm (2 3/8”) through 114.3 mm (4 1/2”).
