Polished Seal Bore Receptacle (PBR)

Description

The Pinnacle Polished Seal Bore Receptacle (PBR) is designed for applications where a large I.D. must be maintained through the completion while accommodating extreme tubing movement.

The PBR is attached to a Seal Bore Packer with the use of a Latch Seal Assembly. An adjustable shear mechanism locks the outer housing and Locator Seal Assembly together while running. When released the PBR Locator Seal Assembly is free to allow tubing movement. When the PBR is combined with a hydraulic or hydraulic/hydrostatic set packer it can be run in and set in one trip. The polished seal bore receptacle can be retrieved in two trips. The seal assembly is retrieved when the tubing string is recovered. The PBR seal bore is retrieved with a PBR retrieving tool. The PBR assembly can be pinned in the fully stroked, closed or midway position to accommodate pre-spacing in one-trip completions.

The Polished Seal Bore Receptacle is available in varying stroke lengths of up to 6.1 m (20 ft). The PBR is normally manufactured in alloy steel and meets NACE MR-01-75 specifications but is also available in a wide variety of materials and threaded connections on advance order.
