Hydraulic Disconnect
Description
The Hydraulic Disconnect allows the bottom hole assembly to detach at a predetermined point and can be used in high torque applications. The Hydraulic Disconnect is compact, N2 and fluid compatible and can be used with agitation tools and jars.
Deploying a drop ball through the tubing string shifts a piston sleeve set to shear at a predetermined value, allowing the tool string to disconnect. Circulation at surface indicates a positive disconnect. The remainder of the toolstring left in the wellbore can be retrieved using an industry standard “GS” pulling tool.
