CA-III Single Grip Compression Packer
Description
The CA-III is a compact, economical, retrievable compression set packer for use in production or low pressure treating. The CA-III Single Grip Compression Packer is designed for wells that do not require an upper hold-down device and tubing pressure is not expected to exceed annulus pressure.
Full opening design allows unrestricted fluid flow and wireline tool movement through the packer. The CA-III packer is set with a quarter turn to the right at the packer and comes with a right hand emergency release top sub
Operation
Run the CA-III packer to setting depth. With the last tubing movement upward, apply a quarter turn to the right at the tool and lower until the packer begins taking tubing weight. Release torque and set down required tubing weight for element pack-off.
With tubing weight on the packer, simply pick up on the tubing releasing the packer. The packer will automatically lock in the run position for retrieving or re-setting.
