PCR Snap Latch Stinger Seal Assembly
Description
The PCR Snap Latch Stinger Seal Assembly provides a positive latch for operating the sleeve valve inside a PCR Cement Retainer. It also isolates pressure between the tubing and annulus. The PCR Snap Latch Stinger Seal Assembly ratchets into the retainer with compression and releases with a straight pull on the tubing string, or by multiple rotations to the right in slight tension. Release by rotation is the recommended practice if removing the stinger multiple times due to the weakening of the latch and rounding of latch threads in the cement retainer caused by multiple straight pull releases. The PCR Snap Latch Stinger Seal Assembly releases with tubing in tension from 1,000 to 3,000 daN (2,250 lbs to 6740 lbs).
Features
• Positive, reliable latch provides indication of stinger position.
• Isolates pressure between the tubing and annulus.
• Same tool operates the valve of several sizes of PCR Cement Retainers. • Release by rotation or straight pull on tubing string.
